Four interconnected chapters of impact across Pakistan.
From gender justice and humanitarian response to sustainable livelihoods and climate resilience — OxDev’s programs are evidence-based, locally led, and designed to outlast donor cycles.

Gender Justice & Social Inclusion
OxDev advances gender equality in Pakistan through a portfolio of interconnected initiatives. Creating Spaces addresses violence against women and girls, while She Can Lead supports young women’s participation in civic and political life.
Marriage No Child’s Play confronts early and forced marriage through community dialogue and legal reform. Under the Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) program alone, we reached over 153,000 people while strengthening women’s rights organisations to influence policy.
Our work translates into changed laws, safer public spaces, and more women taking up leadership in councils, panchayats, and institutions across Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Humanitarian & Systems Resilience
OxDev responded to the 2022 floods by reaching over 370,000 people with timely support across Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan. Our partner-led approach ensures that local organisations guide decisions on resource use — keeping responses rooted in community needs.
This model avoids top-down methods and leads to more effective, relevant, and sustainable outcomes. It also strengthens the capacity of local actors to lead future responses independently.
Beyond crisis response, we invest in preparedness — early warning systems, pre-positioned stocks, trained community volunteers, and shock-responsive livelihood protection — so that when the next emergency arrives, decisions are already local.

Economic Empowerment & Future Skills
OxDev works closely with the private sector through initiatives like GRAISEA, supporting smallholder farmers with sustainable rice practices that have reduced production costs and increased productivity across key Pakistani rice-growing districts.
The Empower Youth for Work program equips rural youth — especially young women — with modern skills such as digital freelancing and online marketing, helping them access global opportunities and build stable livelihoods without needing to migrate.
Across both, the goal is the same: dignified, durable income that continues long after a project ends.

Climate Resilience, Knowledge, Research & Learning
OxDev promotes climate resilience and green growth through community-led adaptation and youth-driven renewable energy efforts across climate-vulnerable districts of Pakistan.
We prioritise knowledge and learning by using the World Citizens Panel method and locally gathered data to guide decisions. Programs are evaluated by the people they serve — not only by donors — ensuring they remain accountable, effective, and aligned with real community needs.
Our research outputs, policy briefs, and learning products are shared openly with the sector to strengthen the whole ecosystem, not just OxDev.
